Why not look at taking an older, lower-powered box, pop the hard drives
out, put 2 NICs in it, and run any one of the free or low-cost
firewalls-on-a-disk? Floppyfw is one, Gnatbox is another. The freeware
version of GNatbox (called "Lite") only allows for 5 boxes behind it,
but the cost of the full version isn't that great. Floppyfw is free.
By default, neither one allows anything in from the Internet...
