The only origin of biometric door locks is Korea. All the locks that
appeared in USA are ususally product of BOGOTECH.
 http://www.bogotech.com/eng/products/bfd.html this is a link to
manufacturer. 2 years ago Bogotech had another model BOGO2000, user price
was something like 800$. It wasn't very good, fingerprint indentification
was not very fast and not friendly. 6 months ago somebody told me that
BOGO2000 had a lot of problems and that's why now new model of lock is on
the market.
Fingerprint devices are now only at the firat stage of their development and
are not perfect. Sometimes bad is hardware, sometimes - software.

In case of computer devices fingerprint scanner could be excellent, but even
well known software could be weak.
