ID theft isn't about becoming the "visual" likeness of YOU. It's
about becoming the "database" likeness of YOU. ID theives don't want
your picture, they want your SSN, date of birth, mother's maiden name,
checking account number, credit card number).
In the unlikely event they need a picture ID to associate "database"
YOU with themselves, they won't put YOUR picture on it.
The web risk has more to do with identifying target group (doctors,
lawyers, etc.) where there's a reasonable payoff.
Then there's the one about taking people's pictures, sticking it on a
different body... well, you can probably figure out the rest.
