Zone Alarm Query?

Since adding DNS1 & DNS2 IP addresses to the trusted zone
in zone alarm free version I now never see any pings or intrusions
(if that's the right phrase) listed on the alerts & logs screen.
Before that I had plenty to look at now I get nothing.

Can anyone explain this thanx in advance.
