Zone Alarm is resource hungry crap.
I regret buying it.

It gets bigger in memory the longer it's running
and gets slower & slower as it does so,
especially if you use P2P software like eMule.

It sometimes even starts blocking ports that I've
specifically told it *NOT* to block, and it's
'expert rules' are often ignored for some
stupid reason that makes no sense.

Since version 5 it's even more resource hungry & slower... It's CRAP.

Sygate personal firewall is FAR BETTER in so many ways.

Hope this helps.

Regards.
