We are using a CheckPoint SecureRemote VPN connection to a connect to a VAN
and things are working just fine. However after 24 hours the connection just
drops, forcing a trek to the server room to re-start the connection.

Has anyone any idea why this would happen? is it a feature of SecureRemote?
a feature of FW-1 or VPN?

SecureRemote has a capability called "Auto Local Logon" which, at face
value, allows me to maintain a connection. However I have not managed to get
this to work using the same credentials (usern/pwd) that allow a manual
connect. Is there some sublety I am missing here?
