I'm developing applications that run as webpage's so that users can
use the application from any computer with an internet connection and
recent web browser.
My Question is that more and more programs are being used to block ads
and stop pop-up's etc. My JavaScript fuctions get blocked and pages
become inactive.
"window.open" is totaly removed by NIS 2004.
Is there a Standard that I can follow that will stay inside the Rules
of Popup blockers and Content filters that will let my applications
run without the user needing to disable features of their firewalls
etc.
Any Links examples would be helpful.

Obviously if there is a set of rules that mean a page will display
properly then Advertisers would just make ads that stay within these
rules too. But there has to be a middle ground where I can make an
application that most users can use.
