I urge you to visit the grc site http://www.grc.com and run
the ShieldsUp test. It will tell you the status of your
ports. Move your mouse to port 445 (or any other) and click,
it will give you an explanation of the ports' importance.

For copyright reasons I cannot paste this report, but go see
for yourelf.

The question is, what realistic action can be taken.. any
suggestions ???

btw: I traced my prober and it was my isp, I sent them e-
mail, and yes, ofcourse, no response.. Better luck to others
who may try !!
