I have recently installed a DSL-504 Generation II gateway router
device in our office. I tested it with the Linux command "nmap
mydomain.com" from another computer on the 'net and the DSL-5-4 froze,
until I reset the device. I see on google.groups.com that others have
had a similar problems with other similar devices.
The log gives the following message on the device:
[FIREWALL]Up 5 mins 4
secs-Net_Bus_Scan:TCP,src:ip:203.221.196.199,dst:port:12345
As nmap is frequently used by hackers on the net, this renders the
device very unreliable because our office network is not continuously
attended.
I have installed the latest firmware update, but the problem still
occurs.
Is there a fix or a workaround?
Thanks in advance,
