If you're running a router, you're not sharing a connection from your PC:
it's being done at the router level, hopefully, if you have one with more
than one port. As for the router, if it has a firewall, test it on some
sites and make sure it works well. If your router works well without your
personal firewall, then fine, but internet sites will be scanning the
router mainly, not your PC behind the router, due to the way NAT works.
Therefore, if you're passing tests, disable software firewalls and try
again, should see almost no difference. If so, then use only the router's
firewall.
