Tell me, Casey: How in God's name do you think those companies are able to
offer "free" versions of their software? I'll tell you how: Your "free"
copy is subsidized by countless other people who PAY for their software. As
a result of paying for their software, they get better products and support.
I (along with many others) am paying for your "free" software. You didnt
think that the programmers were going to work for free, did you? How about
the server you downloaded that "free" software from? Someone had to PAY for
the overhead of maintaining a server in the first place. Such things COST
MONEY and TIME. SOMEONE has to pay for it, some where down the line.
Stop sucking off Uncle Sugar's tits, and start paying your way for a change.
You will feel better about yourself, and have a superior product and service
for it.
By the way, the days of 50kbyte files went the wayside when DOS 6.22 was
exchanged for Windows XP. In these days of 1gig of memory, there is no need
to conserve each byte of memory. Such may have been the case when 640k was
the limit of memory, but things have grown since then.
