routing rules

My ISA server is in a different subnet to the Internet link/gateway.

To direct traffic from my external interface to the Internet default gateway
would a routing rule work?
Example: http://www.isaserver.org/tutorials/Using_routing_rules.html

As stated I am in a different subnet and have my own gateway setup for the
external interface.

Any ideas?
