I have been thrown in at the deepend, and asked to sort out a Netscreen -
Netgear VPN which is not working. I need someone to please give me a simple
example which I can work from.

The setup is as follows:

A netscreen needs to talk to a netgear. I am quite sure that there is NAT
being used as well. The VPN is needed so that a single PC at the
destination end can be accessed using VNC.

I have a fair understanding of the netgear menu logs etc, but am getting
confused by the following:

- in the VPN settings when a remote start IP address is mentioned, should
this be the private IP address (such as 192.168.3.1), or should it be the
address of the destination firewall/router ?

If the source and the destination are using NAT, does this change the config
at all ?

Can anyone recommend any tutorials, or books at all. I am probably getting
confused over simple stuff, and cannot see the wood for the trees.

Many thanks

Miles.
