After having seen a post by Duane Arnold, I decided to try out System Safety
Manager as well. I was able to download it in 4 minutes - which was a very
long time for what is essentially a very small file. Your 27 minutes does
seem a bit excessive, but the download is definitely slow. I have a 600K
cable modem link.

One thing I will add - I downloaded the older version as the new version is
in beta stage and was stated as having been rushed. I therefore chickened
out and decided to use the older version until the new one was more stable.

Aside from the initial pain of having to provide rules for each of the exe
files I generally use, I have had a number of problems using it.

On at least 3 occassions - and I have only had it installed for 2 days - the
system came up with exception errors. Although allowed to continue, the PC
had a lot of problems afterwards and required a reboot. After that,
everything worked ok until the next time it would go wrong.

I also have Zone Alarm running but I do not think that this is the problem.

I have now decided to remove the program.

I may give it another go once the newer version is out of beta stage.

If things work out well for you and you use the new version, it would be
nice to know. Post back if you could.

Hope this helps you
Martin
