I would think the dirver for any NIC is installed on the computer so that
the O/S can use it properly with other services or protocols needed to make
the connection work can interface with the card's driver. So informtion on
the card is stored on the computer. However, some data may be uploaded to
the card while it's in use from the computer like the WAP key -- don't hold
me to that.
