Well sorry but I got angry because I'm sick of people posting replies to
other replies to elaborate on them rather than going with what is said.

NAT is network address translation. It's not even a firewall IMO, although
it is considered one. All it does is translate and route information from
the outside to the LAN, all the while hiding the private IP's it's routing
to. NAT MUST take place for traffic to work properly behind it, or else a
router without NAT might as well be called a switch or a hub.

Well I don't care if you said not to use NIS. I was only reminding you that
NIS = NAV + NPF. For windows firewalls I go with what PCMagazine last
rated them all at. Either NIS or ZAP is a good choice, but NIS would be
one-stop shopping for NPF and NAV.

And I've seen plenty of people have problems with the others. But it's a
windows firewall -- at best it's half-effective because windows won't let
the firewall get deeply encorporated with the other stuff. Windows
firewalls, due to being installed on windows, can still be subject to brute
force attacks and such that windows is vulnerable to. That is one of the
main reasons I went with Linux, but then again everyone's choice of OS is
their own choice.
