That the internet is a hostile area, and that you need to do something about
keeping your computer secure.

First, a firewall (pick one. Zone Alarm is one of the good ones.)
Secondly, good antivirus, and I recommend Norton Antivirus (or, if you
prefer a combination of firewall and antivirus, I recommend Norton Internet
Security).
Lastly, I recommend hardening your operating system to prevent attacks. For
Windows users, Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer is a nice product, and
free: it will tell you what's wrong and how to fix it.
But then again, for those ignorant and with few computing needs, I'd
recommend Mandrake 9.2 Linux. Linux has fewer of the security
vulnerabilities that Microsoft Windows has currently (and don't get into an
argument with me, because this is an opinion poll and I'm giving my opinion
-- I could care less if you disagree. If you disagree, reply to the
poster, not to me.)

Uh, are you legitimate, or are you a troll?

Well knowledge is power, but then again it's also my opinion that people
shouldn't have to know a lot about a computer to get it to work and keep it
out of trouble, which is why I'd recommend Mandrake 9.2 Linux.
