Thats normal.  A software developer pumps out a new version
every so often.  Thats how they "make a living".  Even after
they come up with a really good, complete client of some
type, they just keep adding unwanted bells and whistles (and
bugs that require updates to fix).  Thats why I mainly
use "old" software.  Opera, browser; Calypso, mail; and
gravity, news.<g>
