It's a very good idea to block Realwhatever on any network. You will
need a firewall with IP filtering capability, either running on the
host machine(s), or a network firewall. Just about any Linux-based
firewall will provide this capability for network-based filtering, and
nearly any personal firewall except Zone Alarm Free with work as a
host-based solution. Port blocking alone isn't reliable enough. Here
are the address blocks to filter:
Network Addy Subnet Mask Name
204.71.154.0 255.255.255.0 RealNetworks
209.225.53.0 255.255.255.0 RealNetworks
66.35.210.0 255.255.255.0 RealNetworks
207.188.0.0 255.255.224.0 RealNetworks
208.147.88.0 255.255.248.0 RealNetworks
205.219.198.0 255.255.254.0 RealNetworks
