NetBEUI is a non routable protocol. This means that such trafic cannot
go across a routing device (such as the checkpoint firewall). Also, most
firewalls today supports only IP trafic and some do also support other
protocols, but never NetBEUI.
Instead of using NetBEUI you should rather use NBT (NetBIOS over TCP/IP).
This will work across firewall-1 if you setup rules for it. In order to
"browse" the network you need an internal name server to serve this
service on both segments. This means thath you must configure all your
machines to use this. Windows 2000 can use MS DNS or Bind9 for this
task. You can alternatively setup a wins server instead (it would work
as well).
