First of all: thanks for the pretty extensive reply!

My provider (XS4ALL) - one of the biggest in Europe - is doing a massive
migration with it's newsservers *and* upgrading the speed at the same these
last days.
But no one in my provider-newsgroup is complaining , so ...

I changed the first DNS with a more 'reliable' one, but no effect.

You forgot about the missing Marslander ;-)

On the client yes (browser loosing connection), but on the server everything is
working ok.

I did that, except for the cookies (are being handled by Ad-Aware
automatically).

Defaults settings of what?

Is running all the time.

I will try this one.

Yes, VCom's SystemSuite is always on.
But someone pointed me in the directon of an online Trojan scannner and that
did find sdomething:
Starting scan at 16:45:53:10...
Scan Memory
Memory not infected
Scan folder: 'F:\', recursive
File 'F:\Datakeeper - backup D\DataKeeper Backup of J\2 - Errors &
Solutions\.exe.pvae.dkb' is infected with 'FTP99cmp'
File 'F:\Datakeeper - backup D\DataKeeper Backup of J\2 - Errors &
Solutions\.exe.pwad.dkb' is infected with 'FTP99cmp'
Scan folder: 'G:\', recursive
Scan folder: 'H:\', recursive
Scan folder: 'I:\', recursive
Scan folder: 'J:\', recursive
Unable to scan J:\__CRASH nov 2003 - restore\DIR00006\Deja_com Re Scandisk
tells me bad FAT table and whats to replace - The system cannot find the path
specified.
File 'J:\__CRASH nov 2003 - restore\DIR00009\Reconnect Master.EXE' is infected
with 'FTP99cmp'
Finished scan at 16:53:04:170
Total number of files is 21684, number of infected files is 3
Average files per second is 50, average file size is 8909500
However: when I run 'The Cleaner', SystemSuite or Symantec AV none of these
will confirm this and declare the system for clean.
It seems that 'FTP99cmp' is a password stealing Trojan on port 1492.

Got any further suggestions?
Thanks!
