First, wifi isn't as fast as wired. Second, it can be a security
vulnerability (as seen on tech tv, among other places) unless you change
settings to those that are more secure.

I'd say the first router on the way out to the internet, set it up for port
forwarding or something, to pass the ports that the cam uses straight
through to the internet. If there is no port listed, or if you can change
what port the cam wants to use, I suggest 5891-5900. The second router may
also need to be configured for port forwarding for the ports you choose /
it uses.
Also, beyond that, I'd say you shoulda went with wired all the way, because
it's cheaper, and a little more secure than wifi, and most the time it's
faster than wireless as well.
But anyways, try that and see if that helps, and/or go google for what port
that software uses (unless you can tell it what ports to use, in which case
I suggest 5891-5900).
