Hi, I have a netgear DM602 adsl router and Linksys WRT45g wifi router.
Alas I have just bought an AXIS 205 IP camera with its own inbuilt
server so that I can monitor home cctv while at work and I cannot
access it from outside my LAN.
The setting up of the two routers to provide a wifi network solution
at my house has been a cinch. And I have full internet access from
anywhere in my house now. (for a novice I was pretty chuffed with
myself).
The axis has been asigned its own IP address after plugging it into a
port in the back of the linksys and is viewable from all internal PCs,
but after going through the setup process using www.axiscam.net to be
able to view over any internet connection I have no joy.
I can see the WAN address from the DM602 status settings but when I
type it into explorer to access the axiscam I end up being blocked by
the dm602.
Both routers are providing DHCP and the Ips are as follows; dm602-
192.168.0.1, wrt54g- 192.168.1.1, axis- 192.168.1.101. I realise that
one dhcp probably needs to be switched off, but when I do that will I
need to allocate static IPs to the routers (is that right?). I think I
am doing it correctly but I usually have to reset one or both routers
in order to be able to access the settings pages on the internal ip
using explorer again.
I have tried many combinations of settings and set up port forwarding
on both routers for http on port 80 for IP 192.168.1.101 but still no
joy.
I expect this is an easy one for some expert out there, so please be
