Hi,
Wasn't sure whether to post this here, or in a different group, but
I'm hoping there's a Zonealarm setting that might help. Here's the
problem: I'm running Zonealarm Pro 3.7 and Spamweed 1.2.1. Spamweed is
a proxy filter, so it downloads from the mail server, then filters out
the spam before allowing the legit mails into your inbox. And it works
really well too. However, every now and then Spamweed seems to
generate a whole bunch of files, then must try and load them and try
and access the internet.
Taken from the Zonealarms help screen for why I received the alert -
"...a program that already had network access attempted to load the
component"
Each new file is named differently in the format "rubNNN.tmp" where
NNN is (what looks like) a random string of letters and numbers, and
Zonealarm catches them every time as new components and throws up an
alert.
I had my program control setting on medium for the first week or so I
was using spamweed, then I moved ot to high, but it doesn't seem to
have learned anything!
Any ideas or settings I can tweek to stop these alerts, gratefully
appreciated.
Russ.
