Tim,
Thank you very much for this. I downloaded Spybot Search and Destroy
and got rid of loads of horrible crap on my system.

However, I think I may have "fixed" something too much with
HijackThis... my Windows98 task bar now keeps freezing - often after
all its loaded icons and the start button vanish. Then I have to
power-off my PC in order to reboot. Any suggestions? Reload Windows98,
perhaps?
