Agnitum Outpost with ICS on Win2000 - any luck?

Has anyone had any luck running Outpost firewall on Win2000 system (SP3)
acting as internet gateway via ICS? Agnitum claim Outpost 2.0 supports ICS,
but the support forum has lots of messages from people who couldn't get it
to work after following all the HowTo's - and I'm one of them.
Basically, Outpost unconditionally blocks what they call 'transit packets',
which happens to include packets coming from the ICS client machine, even
though the client's IP number is configured as trusted. I've followed all
the advice Agnitum and their forums provide, but no deal.
For now I'm using Kerio 4, but it's going to expire in 4 days and the free
version no longer supports ICS. So if I can't get Outpost to work, I'll
have to buy Kerio now - and I really, really want to avoid it. (I'll save
my rant about Kerio for another time, though ;)
I've also tried Tiny and Sygate - I dislike both even more than Kerio (I'm
not technically challenged, but Tiny is just unconfigurable; with Sygate I
had major issues about applications connecting out and Sygate not alerting
me).
I'd really like to hear from someone who managed to get Outpost work with
ICS on Win2K - maybe there's some bit of configuration I'm missing?
Otherwise, I'd like to establish definitively that Outpost will NOT work
with ICS and not lose any more time trying in vain. Kerio at least works,
but it's not my first choice.
