I too am a newbie when it comes to firewalls and have been doing the
same thing you have been doing - trying them all out.
I trie Black Ice but it failed miserably when I ran some of the firewall
security checks at various web sites. this scared me and I put Zone
Alarm back on.
But hey it dont cost anything to try it out. Check it out and then do
some of those security checks, it might scare you too to be not protected.
