I had to do the same thing--- fix by reformat--- awhile back. I
couldn't access the Internet at all with that Black Ice scumware in
place; and it blocked out one website completely before that-- no one
could figure out the problem (traceroute was some help).

JUST SAY HELL NO to Black Ice--- it's tough on your hard drive!

Uninstalling it is your BEST option!
