Redundancy is always a good thing. If it's just a T1 line, did you consider
SDSL instead? Might be cheaper.

For redundancy it's always good to have a second ISP. But where do you stop,
two routers, two Netscreens, etc.

Unless you have your own public block or can get one from your ISPs, the obvious
ones to use are RFC1918 addresses. See if your ISP(s) can give you/rent you a
small class C for your Internet segment (or portion there of) that contains your
Firewalls untrusted interface and the routers ethernet adapters.
