Images not loading properly

I have a problem with opera (7.something) not loading all images on
any website that has multiple images. It seems quite random as to
which iamages load and which do not, changes on a refresh. And yes, I
do have images switched _on_. A right click show image brings the
image up.

I am running Norton internet security 2003. And I do have ad-blocking
turned _off_. If i disable NIS the problem goes away, but defeats the
object of having one.

I have tried uninstalling NIS and reinstalling it but no change.

I have also tried ie5.5 and then ie6 and had similar problems.

I have read a lot of posting on google groups and on the opera forum
from people with similar problems and there doesn't seem to be a real
solution yet.

Ps - I'm running Win98SE and accessing the internet via ADSL.

Any ideas what I can try ?
