Hi

Ive just bought one of these wireless router/firewalls after a very happy
lifetime of Netgears FR114P cabled firewall.
In the short term I dont have plans for using its wireless functionality as
there doesnt appear to be a 108mbps PCI card available yet, so I'll wait a
while.

Unfortunately I had a days worth of problems connecting to the ISP until I
swapped to a crossover ethernet cable. They did include their own cable but
it was a regular patch one and too short anyway.
The niggling worries Ive got about this unit are
1) I get an occasional XP warning that there's no internet available
(clicking Retry returns the connection OK)
2) There's a quad-state LED on the unit that represents the Internet
connection and it can shine Red, Amber or Green. With both types of cable it
flickers amber while in use. I'm wondering why it doesnt flicker Green and
why it flickered at all when I used the regular patch cable.

Generally, it's advertised as a firewall/router but going through the
configuration options I can see only outgoing options - ie content
filtering, site,service blocking.
I cant seem to find configuration options for its advertised VPN service,
are there supposed to be any?
Logging will only provide information on outgoing traffic, no option to log
incoming traffic.

Although it advertises SPI, comparing it's options to those available on the
FR114P I would really only class this unit as a router. My initial
impression is that its packaging title misleads as described "108Mbps
Wireless Firewall Router"
