    I did completely remove ZoneAlarm using instructions from Zone Alarm -
    deleted folders & files within winnt, registry keys and even some remnants
    visisble in Device manager > Hidden. I completely removed Outpost as well
    (in a similar manual style) and reinstalled it but it's the exact same
    problem. Slow, slow loading of webpages (and they only load at all if I'm
    lucky) and I even notice the DUN icon in the tray rarely flickers - no sign
    of much life on my modem. And predictably, as soon as I click 'disable' on
    Outpost everything's back to normal, pages loading fast as usual. It's as
    though using Outpost slows down my connection tenfold.
