Thanks David. I checked the log file. There was a block on the outgoing to
one of my company's WINS servers. I don't know why there was only one entry
because I attempted more than 30 times to connect already. But anyway, I
added that IP address to my Trusted Zone. But it did not help. I am still
getting the "Failed to connect to server" error message from VNC even though
SecuRemote has already authenticated me.
The remaining entries on the log file are all blocking Pings except one. It
blocked a remote computer from connecting to port 1434 which may have been a
probe caused by the SQL Slammer. None of the remaining entries in the log
file seem to have anything to do with my SecuRemote/VNC connection.
Again, if I shut down ZoneAlarm Pro, everything works. It is frustrating.
Any other idea?
Thank you very much for your help.
simon.
