    Yes Application Control is enabled on the menu

    When I stop Application Control , the " Start BlackICE Engine "
    remains " greyed out " as now does the " Stop BlackICE Application
    Protection "

    I enable Application Control by right clicking the BlackICE icon on
    the Sys Tray then selecting "EDIT BLACKICE SETTINGS" which brings up
    the " BLACKICE SETTINGS " page.

    I'm whether it might be simpler to just re-install it - I'll wait to
    see what you say to this reply first. Thanks for the trouble .
