Actually 3com made sure that their customers would get frustrated pretty
fast. It simply looks for new IPs. So say you connect a new printer server,
and bingo, and new 'internet user' is added. A reboot removes the dead IPs,
ie. those that aren't in use any more.

Actually I got hold of a nice contact at 3com and he is sending me a
'officeconnect cable/dsl' which I can fool around with. According to him it
can handle up to 256 users, but the firewall features are less advanced than
the Firewall 25. The connection is fiber, with a fat cisco router[1] between
me and the big wide net.

[1] Provider locked the access to it.
