Sonicwall Pro serial connection...

I wrote this group a week or so ago regarding my Sonicwall Pro. It has both
the alarm and test lights solid on the front.

The manual and the nice people who responded told me the firmware needed to
be updated because it was most likely corrupt. However every attempt to
follow what the manual and people have said regarding using the reset button
have failed. I have tried just about everything, and no luck.

So now I'm trying to use the serial port to gain access. However I am
getting nothing yet again. I am using 9600 baud, 8 data bits, no parity, 1
stop bit and no flow control. Are these the correct settings?

I just looked at mysonicwall.com and found this unit is actually still under
warranty until november of this year. So I guess if I exhaust all
possibilities of fixing this, I can send it back to sonicwall to be
repaired.

I do appreciate all of your ideas and help to fix this on my own. Thanks!
