1.. Backup registry
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TinySoftware\WinRoute\Acl] to a file
2.. In [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TinySoftware\WinRoute\Iface] notice
the [AclFilterIn]-value of the adapter you intend to change - this is the
value necessary to link all the ACL-settings under ...\Acl to a specific
network-adapter
3.. Change network adapter(s)
4.. Remove the old adapter in Winroute, change necessary settings for NAT
etc...
5.. As you can see, all the Packet Filter Settings for the removed adapter
are gone!!
6.. Now stop Winroute service
7.. Check the [AclFilterIn]-number of the new adapter in
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TinySoftware\WinRoute\Iface]
8.. Edit the file you saved in 1 and change all entries of the old
adapter-number to the new-adapter-number (for example change "Acl=1" to
"Acl=5")
9.. If you like to clean up your registry entries you can remove all
entries for adapters no longer existing and re-number all the entries (from
....\Acl\0 to ....\Acl\xx)
10.. Save file, double-click to import the settings into the registry
11.. Restart Winroute service
12.. Voila !
<Those who think they know it all are very annoying to those of us who do.>
