I am trying to test a new firewall and want to check what ports are
open on the thing, how do i do a full scan of the ports, i.e. all 60
odd thousand of them (aside from paying someone to do it)

in addition is there a list anywhere of the more obscure ports used by
programs and what they are. i know all the usual 25, 21, 80 etc but
not the others

thanks
