As you're a home user, I would suggest buying a LinkSys DSL Router and using
it to connect to the DSL. The LinkSys will provide several ports and using
these ports is where you would plug your two computers. The LinkSys will
also provide a solid firewall, protecting the two systems from any external
threats.
