While you've obviously had a poor experience with them, I've had exactly
the opposite - every e-mail I've sent has been responded to within two
days or so.

The forum was only down for a little over a week, as it was transitioned
from a forum run by Agnitum, to one run by the users. The support forum
is now independent from Agnitum, and administered by the former forum
moderators (who aren't employees of Agnitum, just power-users of the
program).

While you're quite right that you should get support from the company,
because you have paid for the program, you can often get quicker support
from the forum users. After all, there are a LOT more users of the
program than there are developers, and the chances of getting a quick
response are usually greater in the support forum.
