Here at home, we've recently got a cable-modem,
and a linksys router, model WRT51ab.

I didn't install it, nor in fact have anything
at all to do with setting it up.

Now, however, I want to set up a separate
firewall on my own computer (sunblade 100);
I've called sun service for help, and they
told me to first find out just what the
router's own "firewall" is doing.

Is there some way to get the linksys to dump out
its current state, so I can print it out
and then read it off to the sun people?

Although I have a sun, the other computers
hooked to the router are PC's running
win2k and also some earlier win-os (not nt);
maybe it's 98.

---
Please don't ask me why sun wants to know
this stuff -- because not only do I not know,
but the whole business is greek to me (even
though I am working my way through that O'Reilly
"Building Firewalls, 2nd ed" book.
Thanks much!
David
PS: Perhaps I dreamed it, but I thought I
had already posted something like this to
the newsgroup, but can't find anything
here. Sorry if this does turn out to be
a dup -- if it is, please do give the answer
anyway -- it'll be the only one I'll get.
