DMZ basically opens up that machine, and the greeblies the router would
normally block won't be blocked. It might be an idea to do this and test a
game *once* to ensure that game/router etc play happily together. Do not
leave it in that state.
You need to find out what ports the game uses (check your doco's and the
vendors website) and forward those ports to your PC.
The DSL-504 had a very clunky way of doing this, but it can be done.
I can't recall what they call port forwarding in their setup section.

You will still need a software firewall on your PC as routers have little or
no outbound blocking.
