I really don't have much choice. No DSL is available here now. A regional
ISP is building out the area now and will be able to connect me in late
March. Covad does not service this area. The only other option is a wireless
ISP that just started up a month ago. They are using the unlicensed bands.
The only way the ISP we will use sells DSL service is to declare they
include a free modem and include an imbedded rental in the monthly bill.
They don't offer an outright purchase and they only want to use their
supplied modem.
