Why & where is Zone Alarm Plus 3.1.395 dialing out at startup?

I recently upgraded from the free version of ZA to Zone Alarm Plus 3.1.395
and so far I am regretting it. 98% of the time I don't want to connect to
the internet when I startup my computer but ZA+ is giving me no choice.
Vsmon.exe fires up Rnaapp.exe and no matter how many times I click the DUN
cancel button, it fires it up again. So I am not able to get anything done
because of the incessant interuptions and have to give in and allow it to
connect to the net.

The ZA+ support site gives some fairly lame explanations and unacceptable
solutions like setting DUN to "never dial a connection". Jeez, give me a
break. I'm a paying customer.

Is there anyway, short of disabling firewall protection, to stop ZA from
doing this?
And I'm curious to know where ZA is connecting to anyway and what
information it is sending from my computer. Has anyone used a packet sniffer
on this one?
