Uh,uninstall it. If it's your kids, beat the sh1t out of them until they
stop installing it and/or take their priveleges away (just kidding about the
beating them up thing, it was a joke). Seriously, though, if you can't
stand up and make them behave, take their computers away. Too bad, they'll
have to do their homework at the library.

I'd suggest norton personal firewall / internet security if this is a home
LAN with children, cause you can do content filtering, etc.

See AoL messenger. Also, there are tons of things you can do to block it,
such as modify the windows registry and user settings to prevent 1) running
the program's main executable (by specifying the name of it) and 2) prevent
them from installing anything.

Block your kids.

Impossible. They're easy, but nothing's perfectly easy.

Uh, yes, firewalls do that.

Uh, I'd advise against it. I'd get a firewall router first, for sharing
internet, then software firewall / content filtering. Beyond all this, if
you wanna do that, use linux, which I have no idea how to do.

Should be.

But seriously, most of this is, in my opinion, lack of parental controls /
parental guidance / parental leadership. I'm not calling you a bad parent.
Besides, children love to get away with whatever they want. I know I gave
my own parents hell lol. Wish I hadn't, however. Anyways, they're usually
testing the boundaries. If you take away their computers (warn them first,
and on the next infraction do it or call yourself a wimp) for like a day or
even a week, they'll soon get the point that you mean business. In fact,
sit down with them in front of some television show that points out how
people are lied to, scammed, and taken advantage of on the internet (not
everyone, but those that have been). Make sure they realize what they're
doing, etc yada yada yada. It's quite easy, also, with anything win98 and
up, to make user restrictions. www.regedit.com has some ways to do so. I
used to share my computer with a dorm mate in the military, and I set up his
profile so strict he almost couldn't use the internet! But he wasn't able
to hack himself out of his own profile. Too little time to explain all the
how and why, but face it you can do all of this yourself if you just sit
down and read it. If I can, anyone can.
