Are you sure that this is NIS/NPF 2002 and not 2003?
And, if it _is_ NIS/NPF 2002, can you confirm whether this is happening
with Version 2.5 or 3.0, both of which were referred to as NIS/NPF 2002,
although there's considerable differences under the hood.

I've got nine news server accounts running under Outlook Express and none
of them have ever had the Server Name modified by NIS/NPF. Are any of the
NNTP servers with which you're having problems either
a) moderated new servers, or
b) a news server that requires you to log on with an Account Name and
password, and possibly even requires authentication?
It's puzzling to me; if you get a solution via e-mail, would you be so
kind as to post it here so that others may become aware of the source of
the problem?
