Harry,
I use WebWasher(great proxy) also, but with Opera 6.05(the ad
supported version so far) for my browser of choice. On install, it will
copy over your Favorites from IE as well as the proxy settings. It is
easy in Opera for you to bypass the proxy, as well as enable/disable
Java, JavaScript and pop ups on the fly by simply clicking on the
appropriate item after hitting F12. Overall, it is much more secure than
IE ever was. Because of Microsoft's influence in the market, some sites
that are non-compliant with the standards may not display properly.

I also use Pegasus Mail for my email and Gravity for my
newsreader. These three programs have no exploits, at least none I have
seen nor read about. Pegasus Mail will not even go to a web site to
download a web bug or graphic, so that eliminates one tracking method as
well as a confirmation that the email address is a valid one. BTW, I am
also behind a NAT router, which offers a slight improvement in security
as well.

If you don't have a reason, at least have an excuse.
Just in case there's any doubt, my email address is useless. Please
reply to this newsgroup.
