The quality of the security of the ISP. True, I had netzero long ago when
it was a pseudo-free internet. However, their commercial is intentionally
deceiving. Internet may be the same world, but not all ISP's are created
equal. If I have to install extra software to run internet (basically, ISP
spyware), screw them. Msn can be convinced to let you log in without their
software, which dramatically increases browsing speed. AoL doesn't, netzero
doesn't last time I checked. I'd rather use "mom and pop" local internet
rather than load useless software and services on my pc.

That should be able to be configured to not auto-disconnect, but true that
is a pain in the @$$. However, leaving the connection up is also a security
risk technically, due to the "if you're on, you're vulnerable" idea.
