I do some the things to harden Win 2k machines on my network. The same
applies to XP.

You may want to download the Cleaner (trojan scanner) -- full 30 day
trialware. www.moosoft.com

How can you have a software firewall and not have AV system. NOD32 comes to
mind and is one of the best. It has 25 day full trialware www.nod32.com

You may also want to harden IE and OE, which you can find articles on how to
do SECURE both with Google. That's if you are using them
