Would I be correct in saying that after installing ZA port 139 was then
showing closed ?
Would I also be correct in saying that you got the message about your
personal information being vulnerable from the Symantec site (there may be
other's similar) and that this comment was directed at the Browser.
Follow the other posters info for closing down some of the risks. As for
the Browser one clue to the problem is some sites only being able to run
the security check on Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator, get a
different browser, Mozilla from www.mozilla.org which is Free or Opera from
www.opera.com/ which has a free version.
Do the same for your email package, Eudora is well regarded there are
plenty of others out there, basically anything except Oulook or Outlook
Express.
Do this with ZA installed and a good Anti Virus package installed would
cost you the princely starting price of NOTHING. If you want convenience
you can pay the very small amounts of money to upgrade say Zone Alarm or
Opera so you do not have to put up with the ads but the main area you
should spend time on in your case is the Anti Virus package, that should be
your main priority.
